If the voice of the pastor of North Pointe Community Church sounds familiar to you, there’s probably a good reason why. Pastor Jeff is none other than the one and only Jeff Loman, the afternoon host on sister station Life 90.5. Like many other Wilmington-area pastors, he finds himself learning to minister in different ways as the world deals with the COVID-19 pandemic.
This Easter weekend was supposed to be North Pointe’s 20th year doing church on the beach. However, that clearly isn’t going to happen as planned. So instead of promoting a special event today, Pastor Jeff shares some of the same encouragement he has given to his flock.
One recent Sunday morning, he shared a message online talking about Psalm 23. In that message, he makes it abundantly clear that Scripture written thousands of years ago is just as applicable for us today in these dark times. Check out the full message:
Pastor Jeff is encouraging his flock to do a few specific things throughout these challenges today. First, stay connected with one another and be the church. Second, remember that God is trustworthy, in control, and that He can do something good out of all this bad. Third, remember those around us, especially the elderly who need our help.
You can hear Pastor Jeff every weekday on Life 90.5 from 3pm to 7pm. Right now, you can also catch his messages online Sunday mornings on their Facebook page, facebook.com/npointeilm.
On our Church Live Streams page, you’ll find a list or other Wimington-area churches that live streaming on Sunday mornings, too.
