“For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.” Luke 15:24
Inspired by the parable of the Prodigal Son and the experiences of Mark Marcley’s family, Prodigal Recovery offers hope to some of the people who need it most in Wilmington. Hear the interview from our Ministry Focus:
What is Prodigal Recovery?
Prodigal Recovery is a family owned and operated recovery home where hope is not just a cliché, but a way of life. In addition to the strong faith focus, they provide a safe and fun place to stay while participating in AA or NA programs. Several testimonials on their website show that no matter how far someone has slipped into addiction, there is still hope.
What signs should I look for?
Mark encourages parents to look for signs that their teenagers may be using drugs. For example, parents should look at their child’s smartphone apps. Social media like Snapchat is frequently used to arrange drug sales. Meanwhile, money-related apps like Cash App, Venmo, and PayPal are apps young people may use to purchase drugs.
How do I contact Prodigal Recovery?
Prodigal Recovery’s website is an excellent resource at recoveringhope.org. There you’ll find information about their program, other area recovery resources, and an application to join the community. You can also call them anonymously at 910-338-3795.
